      Senior Marketing Position Interview

      May 12, 2016
      Anonymous interview candidate
      New York, NY
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at IQPC (New York, NY) in May 2016

      Interview

Very short phone interview as it was clear it wasn't a fit within minutes of the process. Interviewer was a tad offensive when I didn't know all the ins and outs of exactly how the company worked or what this particular job position entailed. The first interview process is to learn about both candidate and company and to see if there is an understanding, interest and a possible fit for both parties before proceeding on to next steps. I felt it was more of an interrogation and felt belittled less than five min into the conversation. I knew then that this would be a difficult work environment from the start then and there. In addition, the pay was significantly low for a senior management position in the NYC area.

      Question 1

Interview did not even get to the point of going over my experience or how it could be implemented with this company. The process was more of a pop quiz in regards to my understanding of how this unique company structure operates and what they do. I spent well over an hour researching the information on their site and elsewhere. The information did not make clear the company specifics that I was asked for me to have the information to address the questions. I did read the reviews on Glassdoor prior to interview and expected a difficult time but not to this extent.
