The other team will select you based on your resume and cover letter.

Interview
I was invited to the office for a day. The process started with me presenting my research. Afterwords, I spoke with many of the researchers about their research and my capabilities. The interviews focused on my knowledge and experience. The researchers were also interested in discussing what I could bring to their projects.

Interview
I applied to the robotics group after seeing a posting on a mailing list. I submitted my resume online along with an 8-hour programming challenge. The problems were pretty standard interview style problems, with a few slightly robotics oriented. After submitting the online portion they reached out to me for a short call and gave me an offer a few days later. End to end the process was only a week.
