IEDC’s hiring process is they post flashy roles, drag candidates through pointless screenings, then vanish without a trace. It’s not that you didn’t get the job it’s that there was never a job in the first place. They collect resumes, waste time, and leave people hanging. No follow-up, no transparency, not even the decency of a rejection email.
This kind of behavior isn’t just unprofessional, it’s dishonest. Apply here only if you enjoy shouting into the void.
Pros:
Free lesson in spotting fake job postings.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at IEDC in Mar 2025
Interview
I applied online, received a screening call. I then had a panel interview. The process itself seemed organized; however, the hiring manager clearly did not know what skills (if any) she was looking to hire. The panel was all over the place. I had to look to see if I had misread the job description. This is a case where they advertised for one job, but wanted something else.

Question 1
What areas would you suggest for yourself for development?
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at IEDC (Washington, DC) in Jul 2023
Interview
The first interview was an informal phone interview and the second interview was with a panel of different staff members. They changed the interview time once or twice and seemed disorganized. Their follow up, after the first and second interview, was incredibly poor. They completely ghosted me after the second interview which was rude and unprofessional. They also seemed unprepared for the panel interview.
