I interviewed for a Senior Test Engineer role and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. While the interview process itself was straightforward and not particularly challenging, it quickly became clear that the company has a very outdated approach to QA.
The interviewers who have been with the company for a long time, primarily focused on manual testing and showed little to no interest in modern automation practices. Despite having strong experience in both manual and automation testing, my interest in automation seemed to be a red flag for them. This gave the impression that they aren’t looking for well-rounded QA professionals, but rather someone who will stick strictly to traditional manual testing.
If you're a candidate looking to grow in test automation or work in a more modern, forward-thinking QA environment, this may not be the right place.
