      Inventory Control Specialist Interview

      Mar 23, 2026
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Cleveland, OH
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at ICONMA (Cleveland, OH) in Mar 2026

      Interview

I was called and asked if I was looking for new employment as they had reviewed my resume. No title or location provided, just stating “you’re a perfect candidate” for this current role. I replied I was and told to check my email as I was going to be forwarded this unknown job for consideration. The job was for “inventory control technician,” requiring zero education, virtually no work experience and it was a 3 month contract role. Additionally, pay was 20 per hour and (no travel or living expenses offered), even though the role was over an hour away. I have spent over 10 years in consulting and leadership roles in corporate life sciences, hold an undergraduate degree and current position pays well into the six figures. What the (blank) is wrong with you people that think any professional out there is going to consider a job that pays over 3 times less than current, offers literally nothing, and doesn’t even cover gas for a job that would require over 500 miles a week in travel? I have very little respect for talent acquisition, recruiting, because the majority of the time it’s this inept. These people are maddening! It’s liking offering a doctor a greeter position because they’re “good with people?” Read the room! Know your audience! The recruiting and talent acquisition is far too riddled with this level of incompetence. Please find a new line of work!
