I applied in-person. I interviewed at Hurra Communications (Kraków) in Dec 2016
Interview
I was presented with a test that focused on problem solving ability first, and technology knowledge second. There where logic problems, as well as some IQ quiz style questions. Other part of the test focused on the knowledge of database systems, web technology as well as the programming ability. There were also questions about standard Unix/Linux tools such as find or grep.
After the test there was a quick conversation to determine language abilities in English and brief conversation about the results of the test and some questions to determine the depth of knowledge presented in resume.
I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Hurra Communications (Kraków) in Sep 2016
Interview
Interview started with Linux knowledge test with lots of questions about linux core utils - awk, sed uniq, sort, find and so on...
Second part of test was about MySQL - how to create table and similar
After test there was meeting with 2 administrators, lots of questions about linux, network and similar things. In general - to many theoretical questions easy to google-out, but IMO not really usable during every day work (but not only theoretical, there was a few practical discussions).
Overall score ok.
There is no air-conditioning in the office.
