I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Hungry Harvest
Interview
Three step interview process, including an on-site visit. I met with the regional hug director, a mid level staff member, and an executive leader. I also was invited in for a tour of the facility.
I was offered the job but declined it because in my tour of the facility I saw significant racial disparities in how staff were treated and the benefits they received. When I shared my concern with the organization in a follow up conversation, they got really defensive and told me I didn't understand business. This indicated to me this is an organization that is not as open to feedback and growth as they said they were and that they intended to continue to replicate this inequitable model as they opened new locations. Definitely not the right fit for me.

Question 1
How do you think you would do working in a start up environment where you are communicating with a team remotely?
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Hungry Harvest (Jessup, MD) in Jul 2018
Interview
First, I was sent examples of customer problems/complaints and was asked to submit responses back over email. Then, I had two short phone interviews with different company representatives, followed by an in-person interview where I met with three different people separately for 30 minutes each. The phone interviews were straightforward and pleasant. I will admit however that the in-person portion really threw me. Since it was 3 one on ones and not panel style, I wasn't sure if I should repeat myself with any information, and many of the questions were about more personal topics. It was a mix of standard job related questions and questions about myself and my values, etc. Overall, everyone was helpful and friendly but it was the most steps I have ever gone through in an interview process.

Question 1
What does community mean to you and what do you consider to be your community.
The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Hungry Harvest
Interview
Phone and second round interview. Everything was normal - mostly standard questions. Then after second interview, I never heard from them again. I emailed them a few times for updates and never received a response. I wouldn’t want to work for a company that treats people like that.
