It went smoothly and well, I was asked questions that could engage me and allow the employer to know a little bit more about me and what I want in my professional career.
Received a phone call 30 mins. after I applied online and was given an ad- hoc phone screen from the hiring manager, with no time to prepare, but I did well anyway. She asked me to come in the next day for a panel interview. In person they were arrogant and barely let me complete my answer before interrupting with an accusatory tone" Why didn't you try to raise even more money? The position posted described more of a prospect researcher than development Manager soliciting donations which was apparently what they were seeking. It was clear I wasn't going to get an offer but they didn't have the courtesy to even follow up to let me know. It felt more like The Shark Tank than a non-profit. Avoid the Development department and this position.
I applied online. I interviewed at HoustonPBS (Houston, TX) in Jan 2020
