I was contacted by email by an HR manager from the Houston Texans a couple of weeks after submitting my online application. I was given several time frames to choose from to schedule a phone interview within the next two days. The HR manager called me at the time we agreed. I was very disappointed by how tactless the only question she asked me was. I can understand having a set budget for a determined position, but when you don't even bother to determine if the candidate is the right fit and is what your company is looking for just because you're set on paying someone three coins, that says a lot about the company. She did not ask me one question about my resume, my skills, my experience... The only thing she asked me was: "How much are you looking to be paid?" My answer was that I was flexible about the salary, to which she responded: "This is sports. We don't pay more than 30K for an entry level position. The salary is not negotiable. How much do you earn right now?" I was not expecting this lack of professionalism from this company.
