      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at HopHR (San Ramon, CA) in May 2018

      Interview

1 - Call with their internal recruiter 2 - Sourcing challenge with the CTO 3 - In-person interview with the CTO and CEO The leadership is very prudent. I got a feeling there is strong ethics and a higher level of maturity you don't often see in the Bay Area. They have previously sold off 2 startups and are fully profitable. The leadership has very minimal experience recruiting, which gave me a lot of hesitation, as all their recruiting experience is within their own company. That being said, they are very open to suggestions on the process and actively seek input to create a strong recruiting team. The commission structure is set up to reward individual and team efforts with a strong push towards teamwork. A great place for someone to beef up recruiting skills, work in a startup environment and have genuine support in the role. It was a hard offer to pass on but I had an unusually good opportunity, otherwise, I would have accepted the HopHR offer immediately.

When you interview this candidate, what questions would you ask? Why do you think this candidate isn't a good fit for our clients? Why do you want to work in recruiting?

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at HopHR (Buenos Aires) in Dec 2023

      Interview

The contacted me through LinkedIn and the recruiter was super friendly. I had a screening with her and it was okay, they asked some technical questions about Data roles. Then, they sent me an English test task (1 hour) and an Aptitude test (15 min). I got good grades on both, but they rejected me because I didn't know much about data roles (which was asked before sending me the long English test). Overall, they were super friendly, but I didn't get the idea of the company, salary, benefits and I went through an unnecessary long English test.
