Case study asked the applicant to learn how to use Notion ( their chosen online workspace platform) and build a years worth of KPIs and projects. Task required a significant investment of time. A week or so later, a blunt rejection email from HR which said they would pursue other candidates. Job continues to be advertised.
It feels as though company are using a job posting as free labour. I would have expected HR to provide constructive feedback after the case study as a respectful way to decline an applicant for a time consuming task. When feedback was requested, HR listed specific KPIs which they missed. CEO continued to look back at case study provided after I was rejected for the role (Notion shows when users last viewed workspace).
