I applied online. I interviewed at Hiatus Day Spa Med Spa
Interview
The hiring process began with a recruiter interview over Zoom, followed by an in-person interview at the location. The in-person portion included a one-hour massage demo and interviews with both the General Manager and Assistant General Manager.
During the interview, everything appeared to go well and I was told they would follow up with next steps. After a week passed without any communication, I reached out to the recruiter and was told that management had not yet made a decision. Based on the interaction and lack of transparency, it seemed unlikely that they intended to move forward but were unwilling to communicate that directly.
One concerning aspect of the experience was the massage demo itself. The lead massage therapist who received the demo appeared extremely stressed, which raised concerns for me about the work environment and culture within the spa.
Overall, the process felt very corporate and impersonal, and the communication could have been handled more transparently.
