I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Hendrick Motorsports (New York, NY) in Apr 2021
Interview
1 call no response after. Wish I would've had a better chance to display my skills. Had to follow up with the HR manager multiple times, calling and emailing to no avail.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Hendrick Motorsports (Charlotte, NC) in Aug 2022
Interview
Applied on LinkedIn and got a call from HR to schedule an interview. It was supposed to be with the Director of Vehicle Engineering however, she couldn't make it. So one of the Design Engineers on the team hopped on the call and was very easy to talk to. It was more like a discussion/conversation of what is on my resume.
My chances are very slim as they work on some military projects and I am not a US citizen. Overall I was pretty happy about interview. I also know a bunch of friends who work for other NASCAR teams and everyone had nothing bur great things to say about Hendrick and how they take care of their employees.

Question 1
What kind of experience do you have in designing mechanical components (based on my resume)?
I applied in-person. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Hendrick Motorsports (Charlotte, NC)
Interview
I had a short phone interview with the hiring manager and at the end of the call he asked me to come to the shop for an in-person interview a couple of days later. During my in-person interview we discussed my resume and transcript. He was interested in my motivations for wanting to work in the racing industry. The interview was more conversational and I felt like he genuinely wanted to get to know me to determine whether I was going to be a good fit for the team and whether I would enjoy working in the position I was applying for. I met a few members of the team and we took a short tour of the shop.
