Was arranged for the interview a week before the actual date. You can imagine a candidate that treat the coming interview seriously and take the days that he have to understand the company's operation, the terminology that the industry use, understanding the general culture and studied how can he be value add.
Little did I know, that on the very day while making my way to their office, a call came and the interview was cancelled citing position closed by the GM as a reason. As I refer to the job Ad, It was stated that this was a senior position, surprisingly in Helutrans no one can spare a thought that since it is a senior position, likely a senior experienced candidate will take efforts to study the company and be as prepared as possible for the interview. Frankly, the feeling as a candidate in this case, is the organisation itself take things lightly and candidates are very much dispensable and need not be provided much respect.
Questions to ponder;
1) Are there no efforts taken to prevent this?
2) Can there be more EQ when handling such cases?
Please don't take this as a complain and I am a sore loser. If the company is serious about hiring professionally and take the hiring process thoughtfully, incident as such can be prevented.
