      Front-End Developer Interview

      Sep 9, 2022
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Helcim

      Interview

First interview was good and easy. It was about a 20-30 min conversation about myself and my experience and then they also told me their expectations. Got an email for the second interview the day after which was an hour long coding challenge in their head office. I struggle with anxiety a lot so sitting there in front of 2 people was super stressful for me. You can look anything up on google and ask what you want. The challenge itself wasn’t hard at all but sitting there made me blank entirely and got stuck. The 2 developers sitting in the room watching were super nice though. I didn’t make it past that stage due to making no progress because of my anxiety. I feel like an at home challenge might be better or even tackling it alone for the one hour challenge with someone coming in to check on you is better and doesn’t cause as much anxiety for people who have the skills but suffer from anxiety. I feel like I would’ve made a lot more progress that way. Overall the experience was okay and their employees were quite friendly but wish they had a different option for their technical test.
