Interview Experience at Hector India – Business Analyst Role I recently attended an interview at Hector India, an agri-commodity trading company, for the position of Business Analyst. The interview process began with a discussion about my background, including my B.Sc. in Agriculture, MBA in Agribusiness Management, and a six-month certification in Data Analytics. Since I am a fresher, they inquired about my career gap and how I have been preparing for the role. They were particularly interested in data analysis projects related to agribusiness, but at the time, I had only worked on general data analysis projects and did not have any industry-specific case studies to present. The interviewers encouraged me to take time to work on relevant projects and mentioned that we could reconnect once I had something to showcase. However, after the discussion, I did not receive any further communication from their end. This experience highlighted the importance of aligning data analytics skills with industry-specific applications, especially in the agri-commodity sector. I am now focusing on developing agribusiness-related analytical projects to strengthen my profile for similar roles in the future.
