Dear Candidate,
Thank you for supplying feedback on your interview for a compliance officer position with Healy Consultants Group PLC. We indeed felt that your work experience and skills were a good match with the position on offer and were hence interested to hire you. Unfortunately, we could not afford to match your expectations, in terms of remuneration and benefits.
With regards to your description of the interview, it accurately reflects our standard recruitment process and the benefits currently offered by our Firm. For the record, we however wish to address a few minor inaccuracies: a) we do offer a Group health insurance plan (provided by Prudential) and b) we always offer to each candidate to discuss terms and conditions of employment. In your specific case, our Firm emailed you a draft employment offer precisely to start such discussion. Based on your answer to it, the gap between your expectations and what we could offer appeared too high to warrant continuing such discussion.
Lastly, our CEO indeed inquired about your marital status (he however does not recall doing so for your children). He did so simply to ascertain if you could be eligible for an alternative work authorization other than an EP (eg. pre-approved LOC) and because, the two of you being from the same country, he was curious to know how you arrived in Singapore. To clear any doubts you may have, there was no intention to decide whether to hire you based on your family status. That being said, if this query made you uncomfortable, our Firm and our CEO are both sorry for it.
We remain interested by your application. We are also confident that, while we cannot meet your salary expectations, our Firm has other key advantages to offer, including exposure to an international clientele, exciting engagements, a good work/life balance and a friendly workplace. If you change your mind about your decision to decline working with our Firm, feel free to get in touch. Otherwise, we wish you the best for your job search.
