Initial contact with CMIO, first a Skype interview followed by onsite interview with him, a individual from the product team, one of the software engineers and the finally the Chief Technology Officer. The whole place felt off from the beginning. First, the job description didn't match the job I was sold. In fact, by the end of the interview, I still didn't have a good handle on what the functions of the role were or the expected deliverables. Engineers were very nice, but they all looked tired and defeated. Same goes with the CTO, who looked about ready to pass out during my interview. The final nail in the coffin, was the CMIO who was outright condescending and defensive during the interview. While I loved the staff I met at HealthTap, the stench of bad management was overwhelming. I walked away for another role.
