I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at HawkPartners in Feb 2019
Interview
Met with several team members throughout the interview process throught the span of several weeks. My time was spent learning about the role, personalities of team members, and the organization/structure of the firm. Since I was interviewing for a unique role, the entire process felt more like a conversation with a team.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at HawkPartners
Interview
Interviewed with 1 person for the first round, and then had 3 consecutive interviews for the second round. Mostly getting to know each other, the company, my experience, etc. Straightforward, and very nice people!
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at HawkPartners in Aug 2020
Interview
I found out about the opportunity from a headhunter that does not work at HawkPartners. From the roles description it sounded fair enough. The only red flags was the need to work 55 hours a week but apparently you are compensated enough for the time.
I had the first interview with HR. It was general, to see about cultural fit. Tell me about yourself, your research experience. Describe a time when.
Second interview was across 3 members of the team. One for cultural fit, research ability and client facing skills; which are the core competencies of the role.
This interview happened right before Christmas. I got great feedback from HR then the company went dark. The role was being redirected to a more senior position.
I had a negative experience and would caution other who apply to be aware.
Also the company clearly lacks diversity.
