Typical law clerk interview. Tell us about yourself. What are you looking for in a summer program. Strengths and weaknesses. Was able to meet with 2 partners during the interview. Friendly interactions. This firm seems to want to hire law clerks to turn them into associates for the firm later down the road.
Round table type setting. Met with multiple partners and administrators all at once for about an hour. Everyone was nice and interested in my experience and asked questions to ensure I had appropriate experience for the job.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Hall & Evans in Sep 2019
Interview
Straightforward, panel interview. I met with about 5 people all at once. Mostly partners and one admin. They asked me questions about my experience and then gave me time to ask questions.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked primarily about my experience. Thankfully they didn’t ask any obnoxious interview questions like “tell me about a weakness and what you’re doing to improve on it.” It was for a litigation position so they wanted to know about my litigation experience.
