I was contacted via LinkedIn by a Senior Recruiter from HP Hood advising that she was impressed with my skills and experience in Human Resources and that she'd love to connect with me to discuss an opportunity in Portland, Maine. If interested, I was told to send an email directly to her HP Hood email with my resume and salary requirements.
I responded back via LinkedIn notifying the senior recruiter of my interest and that I had also emailed her directly as was requested. Further communication via email included a request for three dates and times in which to schedule a call. I provided these details and never heard back from the senior recruiter again. I was Ghosted.
If this is how the organization treats potential candidates it really is a shame and disturbing. I didn't apply for a position, I was contacted directly by one of HP Hood's senior recruiters. Why lie to people? If you aren't going to follow up with people You reach out to about available opportunities - then why bother reaching out to them in the first place? You are wasting their time and yours in the process and additionally, it hurts your brand as word spreads fast.
