      Technical Trainer Interview

      Nov 15, 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Batavia, NY
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 8 weeks. I interviewed at HP Hood (Batavia, NY) in Oct 2019

      Interview

Long, drawn out process with zero feedback afterward. Started with a phone interview, then a site visit consisting of 5 separate interviews. Finally, a 30-minute presentation attended by 7 people, followed by a tour. Multiple weeks, later I was told I was one of two finalists and a decision would be made soon. Multiple weeks after that, I was informed I was not selected (after I already accepted an offer elsewhere). For my own professional development, I asked for feedback as to why I was not selected and they declined to provide any. I spent hours meeting with and prepping a presentation for this company on my own time. Simple feedback afterward should be customary and should be provided out of respect and professionalism. The denial left a bad taste and proved this would not have been a good fit for me.
