I applied through other source. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at HDR in May 2010
Interview
An HR person will contact you to schedule an interview. No phone interviews are performed. You will likely have 2 to 3 interviewers. One person will be from HDR, the others will be from the department you are interviewing for. The interview is behavioral type, with the typical first question to describe your background and experience. Additional questions will be based on your introduction. You may be asked to expand on certain experiences on your resume, provide lessons learned, challenges encountered, highlight notable accomplishments, etc. The dreaded question of desired salary will be asked so do your research. You will get a tour of the office that you will be located in if hired. They do take a while to return to you on final decision.

Question 1
What other profession would you have chosen if you did not work in your current profession?
I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at HDR in Sep 2009
Interview
I contacted the dept manager and inquired about the position. THen I was called in for an interview. I was interview by the dept manager who seemed to try to get a feel for my personality and if I would be easy to work with, followed by a more senior engineer who interviewed me on my technical abilities and to see how interested I was in the work. All in all, it was a good interview.
