I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Guidepoint (London, England) in Feb 2025

      Interview

Sent my application via Linkedin, couple of days afterwards they asked me to have a first interview with an HR woman, this interview was quite simple , with common question about ourselves and our academic and professional experiences. After this, there's an other interview with 3 members of the company. This second interview is more technical, but they always ask questions bout the role and they wanna understand your knowledge of the company and what it does. This second interview was quite bad, the guys seemed bored and that didn't really wanna be there, even if i had prepared quite intensively and replied well to all the questions. After this , if you "succeed" they send you a mock case, that has to be completed in an hour. Thought i did the case assestment quite well, but few days later they told me they hired someone else.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Guidepoint in May 2026

      Interview

My experience with Guidepoint started really well. The initial HR screen call was genuinely positive, and the recruiter was really lovely, easy to talk to, and communicated clearly. A couple of days later, I was told I had passed that stage and was invited to the next round with the hiring managers. On the day of the interview, both the hiring manager (who would have been my direct manager) and a director joined the call. However, the hiring manager had to drop off quite early, about 10–15 minutes in, because of client calls, so I ended up continuing the conversation mainly with the director, who I wouldn’t actually be working with day-to-day. The conversation itself was quite interesting. The director mentioned I seemed a bit overqualified for the role, but also said that someone with my experience would be useful because they don’t really have formal processes in place. They are not as ''organised''. I actually left the interview feeling quite positive based on that feedback. One thing that did throw me off slightly was when the director asked me about specific roles on my CV where the company names were quite similar. When I tried to clarify and double-checked (“do you mean Company X or Company Y?”), the response was more like “yeah, whatever X” — which felt a bit dismissive, especially since all the information was already in front of them. About a week later, the recruiter called to say they wouldn’t be moving forward with my application, but asked if I’d be interested in other roles in different teams. Another point I noticed was that some of the responsibilities discussed in the interview didn’t really match what was in the job description. It also felt like the role could involve a lot of different tasks beyond what was advertised. From the conversation, it did come across that the structure isn’t fully in place yet, which even the director kind of hinted at. Overall, HR was great, and the process started smoothly, but the interview itself felt a bit inconsistent and left me slightly unclear on what the actual day-to-day role would look like.

      Interview

The first round was ok , but the second round with the uk office was super unprofessional...i had difficulty understanding one of my recruiters as my English is not my native language and he was speaking super fast and with a very strong accent and he laughed at a moment... also it was evident he didn't seem interested

      Interview

It was well organised, but many rounds. First interview was online, then was in person at their office. Overall good experience, not very scary, just prepare well and be confident. All the best!
