      Interview

Standard recruiter phone screen followed by a "take home" assessment consisting of a "technical writing prompt" with a "technical design template" provided with a recommendation to not spend "more than a few hours" on the exercise. My first concern is that it is plausible that the company may actually have built or be building the product features described by the exercise. Could my work now be used in a real-world, profitable solution without my knowledge? The exercise was too broad in scope to complete in a few hours, so I chose to focus on a subset of the problem. They decided not to move forward with my candicacy based on my submission. The only explanation given was that "While we would love to give feedback, our corporate policy states that we cannot provide feedback at this time." I invested hours of my time and the least they could do would be to spend a few minutes on providing me with feedback that might help me as I continue my search.

      Question 1

The following exercise consists of a pseudo-realistic business scenario and a set of requirements for a system to automate...It will be your goal to provide the technical specification for the implementation of this scenario.
