After applying for this vacancy via the GOURMEY careers page, I received an invitation for the first interview with an HM, for which an HM was more than 5 minutes late, so it was rescheduled very quickly. During the interview, for the first 15 minutes, the HM asked me some general questions to get to know me better, and then it was up to me to ask my questions. I had a lot of questions and I could see that HR didn't like the questions I asked. Perhaps I was a bit insistent and it seemed like the roles were reversed, but all I wanted was to know more about this start-up's strategy, to find out if there was a detailed plan with deadlines that it was following, to make sure that this company would be viable in the future. For someone who is sensitive to greenwashing, I wanted to make sure that the company I was approaching was really committed to sustainable development and that the cultivation approach was really more sustainable than the conventional approach. Unfortunately, I didn't get any constructive answers to these questions. I was simply told that it was confidential information - a response that strikes me as immature and unprofessional. Those who are sure of their project and proud of it could talk about it freely and explain their vision and strategy without going into confidential details (which I didn't need/want to know at all).
