The 30 minute interview was conducted by 3 department members via a virtual live meeting session. I, the applicant, was the only one to have the camera on. The interviewers repeatedly asked in a demanding tone "Do you know how to do this . . . ?". At the end of 30 minutes, one of the employees announced that 30 minutes has elapsed and the interview was to end. I had not asked my questions and was now rushed to do so. I asked my first question about the company and was told my questions needed to be focused on working in the department. This interview was conducted as an interrogation.
They did not realize that I had interviewed with them five years ago for the same job and I remember now why I withdrew my application then. Now four years later, I politely withdrew my application again because the department's interactions with people has not changed.
Interview meeting time needs to be extended for a panel of 3 interviewers. This interview process needs to change especially for jobs that have an extremely low applicant pool availability. I accepted a job elsewhere for less money because my expertise is valued and I would rather work in a friendly team environment then work in this environment where demands are being shouted to you.
