The application process initially seemed straightforward, and communication was timely at the start. However, this level of responsiveness didn’t continue. It took some time to confirm the interview, and I had to follow up after a two-week silence following their interview offer.
The interview itself was fairly standard. The interviewer was five minutes late, which is understandable, and there was a bit of miscommunication and misunderstanding during the conversation, but overall it went okay.
After the interview, I sent a follow-up email with additional questions discussed during the interview but never received a response. Despite checking in after another two weeks of silence, I received no feedback or follow-up, which felt unprofessional.
Additionally, the role was listed as remote but actually required frequent travel to schools, many of which were down south. This wasn’t made clear in the job description. Weekly travel of up to a 10-hour round trip made it impractical for me, so I think the listing should clearly state 'remote with regular travel (South of England based).'
