Geringhoff interview questions

Conversation quickly went over interviewers head, An individual who was higher-up was called in. Hit it off right away with this individual, he explained they have been having problems finding qualified people and that it was nice to have someone interview with a manufacturing background. This individual left and conversation quickly turned to age related questions. Interviewer than took me on a tour, clean plant, but very young workers, guessing everyone was under 30, not a good sign. Older employees don’t stick around if they are not appreciated. Later that day while visiting with a neighbor, he had a friend drop by who used to be a manager at Geringhoff, this person told me the company tends to hire under qualified people. By keeping qualifications low, this leads to higher turnover, but Geringhoff is ok with this. Neighbors friend told me that Geringhoff believes that "Eventually, they will get it and become productive, which obviously isn't working”.
