I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Genedata (London, England) in Jan 2026
Interview
Interview stages, 1 HR, 1 Hiring Manager, 1st stage Technical with one people and 2nd stage Technical with two people. The technical team asks specific questions used by them already, but you struggle to understand them because of diversity languages. I applied at the start of December 2025, and the process included an HR screen at the start of Jan 2026, a hiring manager interview at the end of Jan 2026, a 1st stage technical interview after two weeks, a 2nd technical interview after another week. With a ghosting period of 2 weeks after that, after which I have received a simple went with other candidates message. Please be aware of the significant time investment involved and the likelihood of being ghosted.

Question 1
They ask a lot of technical questions and also expect you to already understand the Genedata software you’ll be working on .. while other companies might use same technology, if you can't give them the answer they expect from their working perspective, will fail you at some point while wasting your time.
I had a genuinely positive experience with the individuals I met at Genedata—the team was warm, thoughtful, and clearly passionate about their work. However, the interview process itself was extremely long and disproportionately demanding for a role that paid only $115,000. I applied on January 28, and the process included an HR screen, a hiring manager interview, a technical interview, a senior manager interview, and a final in‑person panel that required a formal presentation to dozens of stakeholders. By the time I withdrew in mid‑March, I still had not reached the final interview. In that same period, I completed full interview pipelines at multiple other companies—pipelines I started after Genedata—and received two offers, had a third decision pending, and ultimately secured a job. The people were wonderful, but the overall timeline, number of steps, and level of preparation required felt misaligned with the compensation and scope of the role, and candidates should be aware of the significant time investment involved.
