I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Gen H (London, England) in Sep 2023
Interview
The interview process lasted for 5 weeks. The 1st stage was an intro call with the internal recruiter. The 2nd stage was a 90-minute technical pairing session, split into two exercises, with two engineers (a domain modelling exercise, and a very basic coding exercise). The 3rd stage was a 90-minute values interview with two team leads and a product manager. I was rejected at this stage so did not make it through to the 4th stage call with the VP of engineering. The interviewers all came across as very nice people, but the process and all related communications took way too long.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
During the 2nd stage technical interview, I was asked to carry out domain modelling for a digital loyalty card to replace stamp cards for coffee shop chains. In the 3rd stage values interview, I was asked about my prior experience, and generic values interview questions, such as: "What do you think makes a great engineer?".
