Interviewed for what I thought was a Customer Service Representative position but was then it turns out that this is just a sales/marketing position. It seemed that this company is not transparent...they are not that straightforward with regard to what the actual position day-to-day responsibilities are.
I received an email confirming my interview. In that email, I was told to bring a list of questions and pen/paper for notes, as pay structure would be discussed. When I get to the interview, I was given a get-to-know-you questionnaire that I could've been asked over the phone and was told that "you know that this is a sales job, right?". Turns out I didn't need to bring anything except my resume the first time through.
The second round interview consisted of someone showing me a power-point presentation of an overview of the company, pay, etc. The information was interesting, but also pretty vague.
I was offered a position, but turned it down because when I requested a written job offer, all that was said was "well, all that information should have been in the power-point." They told me that as if it were my fault for not taking good enough notes...what kind of company doesn't give out a written contract?
SUPER sketch.
Also, while the power-point was being presented, I was told that some of the information was not updated, so I could not even reference the power-point even if I wanted to.
Maybe this position would be good for someone who is entry level and open to sales, but just a warning...even though the training is paid, you start off on commission only. That is another reason I turned down the job. I wanted to at least have a base salary- it would have been too risky for me to start off only on commission.
