I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at GS5, LLC (Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD) in Mar 2016
Interview
During transition leave from the military, the recruiter contacted me after posting my resume to an online cleared job board. I conducted two telephonic interviews - each was professional and easy.

Question 1
I was asked fairly standard questions regarding resume, skills and experience.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at GS5, LLC (Dumfries, VA) in Sep 2016
Interview
The interview was like any other - lots of walking through my resume and explaining various projects I've worked on in the past. I met with a few other Directors that were in the building that day, and they were all very nice. I was a bit taken aback when I was asked if my "situation was under control", in reference to my childcare. I'm a female, and apparently need reaffirm that I actually intend to work as hard as anyone else would.
A few days after the interview I was told that they wouldn't be able to meet my salary request and was asked if I would accept less. I felt like I was negotiating with myself and I hadn't even received a formal offer. I asked for more info on the total benefits package before lowering my salary requirement. I was told that "the directors are still working on some possible scenarios to present for this position". After several days, I was told I was not selected for the job. It was very unusual all the way around. It's a small company with minimal HR. They don't seem to understand the proper way to handle HR processes.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at GS5, LLC (Dumfries, VA) in Aug 2014
Interview
Recruiter set up interview around my planned vacation, time, and office location in Dumfries. I was greeted and offered a beverage of choice. I interviewed with Director and over the phone with technical expertise in Reston. Questions were technical in nature specific to SharePoint. Overall interview lasted less than 1 hour. The recruiter called me back with positive feedback and an offer of employment less than an hour after I left the interview with benefits overview. Received a call from HR shortly thereafter and a transmission of an offer later hours later. Orientation information followed thereafter.
