Received an email from SR recruiter to set up an interview with hiring manager. During the initial screening, the recruiter was great and provided some tips on what I would be asked and what I should research prior to the meeting. I was prepped and learned about the business, products and overall service department strategies/challenges. I also prepared relevant questions and developed segues on how my experience related to the opportunity.
What a complete waste of time. The hiring manager could not be bothered to put down his snack and drink as he threw softball behavioral questions in between typing away at MS Teams. Just chewing and drinking as I tried to make a connection as I was well prepared and excited about the opportunity. The manager didn’t even try to pretend he was at all engaged. Just chewed away … Completely unprofessional. I reached out to the recruiter after- nothing. I received a generic email that I was being passed over.
Something tells me this was a good sign and I dodged a billet.
