      Senior Software Engineer Interview

      Dec 17, 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Bengaluru
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at GE HealthCare (Bengaluru) in Dec 2018

      Interview

I got a call from consultancy that my profile has been shortlisted for F2F round (Whitefield, Bangalore). Interview date (15-Dec-2018) When I reached the venue (9 am), there were already 200+ candidates (different skill sets). I was called for my first technical round at 11:00 am. The interviewer asked me about my current project, company, few basic technical questions and coding. It lasted for around 20+ mins. Then I was told to wait outside for the next round. The situation outside was very chaotic as many people were waiting for their first round. I waited till 1 pm and then asked about the status. The HR told as there are many candidates and parallel interviews are going on, so its taking some time to get the status. One good thing they did was to provide lunch at the venue otherwise many people would have left during that time itself. At 2 PM, again I asked about my status. They told they will check and let me know. By this time many people already left because of all this. At 4 pm one guy came and wrote our names (people waiting for 1st round feedback) and left. At 5 pm again same guy came and wrote our names (to check the status). Finally at 6 PM he came and told "You can leave for the day" It was my worst interview experience. If a candidate has not cleared the first round, you can inform them then and there itself, why ask them to wait for 7 hours. (My first round was good that's why I was waiting and was told to wait for next round). Total waste of time, they should value other people's time (I came all the way from Jayanagar to Whitefield, 25km's one side) to attend the interview. Pathetic interview process. Good interview venue (Four points by Sheraton).

      Senior Software Engineer Interview

      Dec 20, 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Bengaluru
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at GE HealthCare (Bengaluru) in Dec 2025

      Interview

I applied senior software engineer(C++) through an online job portal and was contacted to schedule an interview. Two interviewers were expected to join the session. One interviewer joined first (seems like this interviewer has very less experience) and, without asking for an introduction, immediately asked me to explain my current project, which I did. While I was responding, the second interviewer joined the call. Without understanding my ongoing explanation or my project context, the second interviewer began asking questions. I attempted to explain my current project again; however, he seemed unable to grasp it at all. This was surprising, as my project is quite straightforward and is usually understood quickly in other interviews. It involves collecting data from one domain, processing it, and exporting the processed data to another endpoint where business users can view meaningful insights through dashboards or charts. Despite not fully understanding my explanation, the second interviewer continued asking unclear and poorly framed questions. Within about 15 minutes, both interviewers abruptly ended the interview by saying they were done, strange, they did not even ask any programming or data structures or design pattern questions and ended the interview & asked if I had any questions. The overall experience felt unplanned and disorganized. Random questions without clear intent or proper context were not what I expected from a company like GE Healthcare. I was particularly surprised by the lack of structure and preparation, and one interviewer appeared to have very limited interviewing experience. Since there is no formal interview feedback portal available, I am sharing this experience here for awareness.

      Interview

Intervierw process was highly practical - the questions were all relevant to the job, and while challenging - it wasn't unfair. They seemed to focus on seeing how I think and how I take feedback and collaborate on real world problems, rather than how I solve logic puzzles.
