I applied online. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at Fundomate
Interview
This company is very disorganized. I spoke with their COO Christian who did the first two interviews with me and he missed the first, twice stating it must have missed his calendar. Also he stated I was able to do all the interviews via video calls. He changed his mind at the last second had me fly out for the last. He said don’t worry you are a top tier candidate.
I had a panel interview for an hour and a half and the President was scheduled to meet me for the full time and he met me for the last 2 minutes (severely late after knowing I had a flight there). I met with the COO and other cofounder in the meantime. The whole process was very frustrating and I realized they didn’t have any marketing infrastructure in place like stated in the posting. They also were not willing to pay for the position. The position is really a marketing director role and either way they were trying to pay the lowest possible for the skill set.
Also they couldn’t seem to understand why they were getting unqualified leads with their marketing and I told them it was because they have to be more upfront in their advertising. Maybe they should take that same advice and apply it to their talent recruitment as well. Definitely a hard pass unless you want to be paid well below market value for your position.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Fundomate (Los Angeles, CA) in Feb 2019
Interview
The interview process was great. I had the chance to speak with Cristian (COO) and then with Cristian and Nir (CTO) over Skype (was out of town in the early stages of the interview process).
Afterwards, I was able to come into the office for an in person discussion with Cristian and Sam (CEO). The team is great, the leadership is strong, and the company has a high impact business model.
I would have loved to join the team, but decided to reject the offer after deciding to move away from LA for personal reasons.
