Horrible, rude, and complete waste of my time. I applied and within like 2 hours I was called for a phone interview. After that I was invited for a 1 on 1 interview. Everything seemed to be going really well, and I actually had hope for this new company. I asked for information on benefits, and the person in charge of hiring did not have that information. Afterwards, I disclosed having a past felony conviction on my record, and that is where the hostility and lies started. I was upfront about it, and have turned my life around. (i.e. House, truck, 3+ years at current job). Upon disclosing this information before my background check they were like that is fine. My background check first came back with wrong information on it, then I asked them to review the information, and the background check company fixed it. After that I didn't hear back from the hiring manager for almost 3 weeks. Finally, one day I called to ask about the status of my application (this is all post offer accepted), and it must have been something in the water over there, because when I talked with the hiring manager it was like I was a murderer or something. She kept telling me that she had a meeting, and that for the past 3 weeks she was out of the office because of a 'family emergency.' It all came crashing down when she interrupted me, and told me, "...you clearly don't respect boundaries." I was stunned. I even sent her a list of references after the background check at her request. I felt completely disrespected and hurt. I received an email from her about 2 more weeks later telling me that I did not get the job. I have had bad interviews before, but for some reason this one still hurts. . . In hindsight, I am actually very fortunate to have stayed at my current job. This company clearly has no idea how to run a plant, and that was obvious the day I came in for an interview.
