I was reached out to by a recruiter from Frida regarding an Innovation role and I had a chance to talk to her within a day or two. She really seemed to enjoy the brand and what Frida is doing. You always want to see that the people you surround yourself with on a daily basis are invested in what the brand is doing. I've had other interviews with companies, where this was not the case and it was hard to get onboard with the mission in those scenarios.
I had 2 more interviews one with the Manager and the next with a higher level VP that I felt went well and helped me get a better understanding of the company. They did tell me that if we moved forward there would be some sort of case study, but it seemed simple and short from what I was told. I can't say for sure since I didn't get that far, but I've had several other companies ask for similar assessments, so it feels normal, especially in marketing.
It didn't go my way, unfortunately, and there was a bit of a delay in a decision, which I didn't love. But the recruiter reached out a couple of times to keep me updated on the delay and keep me in the loop so that was appreciated.
I'd apply again for similar roles.
