Interview
Initially I met with recruiters at my college career fair. I received a call for a 30 minute phone interview about a month and a half after that. During which time they asked me questions regarding my resume and a few specific behavioral based questions. Some of which included: why do you want to work in the mining industry and Freeport in particular? describe to me a time when you have worked on a team and how did you overcome obstacles? Tell me about a time where safety has been a concern and what did you do? Tell me why you feel you are the best candidate for the job? There were possible 1 or 2 other questions that I can not remember but it was relatively simple interview. Also it is important to note that there will be at least 3-4 people listening in on the other end.

Interview
Initially, I met with a recruiter at a career fair at my college campus. She told me the basics of the company, took my resume, and told me to apply online. After I did that, I did not receive any contact for about 1-2 months. Then out of nowhere, I got a phone call on Monday asking me if they could do a phone interview with me the next day. Tuesday, I have the phone interview. It was 30 mins long and with 2 people in the department. They were asking me pretty basic questions like "Walk me through your resume" and "Why do you want to work for us" and a few behavioral questions like "Tell me about a time when you had to help someone understand something" or similar questions. Nothing at all technical related like what programs I know or specific experience do I have. Then after having that 30 minute phone interview on Tuesday, they called me back on Friday saying that I got the job. I was surprised that they do not have a in-person interview, but hey, I'm not complaining.
