      Social Media Manager Interview

      May 8, 2021
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Chicago, IL
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I interviewed at Foodmix (Chicago, IL)

      Interview

This place is extremely out of touch in a remote-first world after the pandemic changed how we all view work. This was one of the only places I interviewed at where they insisted everyone had to be at the office full time - even a social media role (let’s get honest - marketing can be done remotely 150%). The guy I interviewed with even tried to sell me on the fact the office was close to the Metra after the job post said it was a remote position at first. Why would anyone from the city want to commute to the burbs after working remotely for a year at this point? It’s not 2005 anymore. You’re going to have a hard time finding talent outside of the Chicago burbs if you don’t evolve.
