I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Fleet Feet in May 2022
Interview
The interview process was smooth and rather enjoyable. I came in a little nervous but the interviewer made me feel comfortable and I could tell they were actually listening to what I was saying. They also were great at answering my own questions and helping me through the next steps of the process to getting a job at Fleet Feet.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Q: What are five important things for running?
Q: How would you describe yourself to someone?
Q: If a customer came in and they were talking about training for a half but they were experiencing fatigue issues what you ask them?
Laid back interview, still waiting for a response back but was all personality questions and how you approach situations. It was low stakes and a much more casual interview than I was expecting.

Question 1
What was a setback you experienced and how did you overcome it?
Short and sweet. Usually with the manager and then the owner. Lasted about 30 minutes. They really wanted to know if you were able to be a normal human being and connect to the people shopping there.
I applied through other source. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Fleet Feet (New York, NY) in Apr 2025
Interview
It was a 30 min general conversation about my background, interest in running, and why I'm interested in the position. I was not tested on shoe knowledge. I think showing interest in the sport and helping people are the most important aspects.
