Was interviewed a few years ago by a lady from HR and another department head. The woman from HR was very pleasant, cordial and easy to talk to while the other manager appeared to be sending mixed signals. When I was asked if I had any trouble following detailed instructions, I replied no. The manager then went on to tell me "Good, because in this industry we can't have people thinking outside of the box." That comment really surprised me, especially coming from a head of a department. I've always been told that being innovative and coming up with new and better ways to get a job done is a desirable trait. It was a very awkward interview.
