I applied in-person. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Fisher Investments (San Francisco, CA) in Oct 2017
Interview
4 Standard Phone Interviews with 4 Different People. Want to know your closing and sales skills. Then a face to face in San Francisco. Very disappointing taking a tour of facility to see virtual no visible minorities. This was a red flag. They have no physical office space in Canada. How will you convince investors to invest their 500K with no Canadian presence when someone has to compete with the Big 6 banks etc.... Wrong approach. May work in the US but not with conservative Canadians

Question 1
What is your close ratio? What would your supervisor say about you? Tell me about anything that I should know that is not on your resume?
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Fisher Investments (Tampa, FL) in May 2023
Interview
Great initial interview. Although my resume was rejected, mainly due to experience. The recruiter and I have a good conversation. Anyone with the right experience can certainly land this role.

How much was the last book of business you brought in?
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Fisher Investments (Dallas, TX) in Nov 2021
Interview
Bait and switch RUN!
I got approached by a headhunter, I work at a major wirehouse with over 8 years of experience.
They wanted me to switch cities and then offered me a role that had nothing to do with financial services. Cut down my salary significantly. I had a bad feeling from the beginning.
Interviewed with sales leaders that were
in their early 30s and they all mentioned significant staring salary and compensation range for their salespeople.
They do HR interview, employment application first, then background check. Finally a panel interview for 3 hours.

Question 1
Tell me about your process?
Tell me why are you looking to switch?
Rejected w/in 24 hrs despite my previously being an equities analyst w/global firm in NYC. AGEISM is real. They want young, malleable, cheap candidates or those w/large books of business. They are NOT interested in MATURE CANDIDATES w/EXPERIENCE. Ken, just like the young gals?
