I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Fisher Investments (Camas, WA)
Interview
Applied for an investment associate and was flown out to Camas, WA to interview in person for three roles that were NOT what I applied for. Continued with the process after seeing some possibility for the client service rep role, and eventually talked with the VP and got an offer from him. Two weeks later, when they were supposed to send me details of the offer they told me I actually had no offer. I explained I had been given an offer, they were "sorry for the miscommunication" usually it required a chat with the VP before getting an offer. I explained I DID in fact talk with the VP, and when I was supposed to talk to him a second time, I was rescheduled FOUR TIMES for a 15 minute phone call that I ended up never getting. Overall a sloppy company with no dedication to its values. Also was disappointed when I went to their office and saw NO people of color, only white males with a scattering of women. Require a 50 hour work week, and to work overtime to meet those 50 hours even if work is accomplished and no overtime pay.

Question 1
Why fisher investments? What do you know about our history?
I enjoyed the process but also no idea where it’s going. Excited to see what happens and hoping for a good result. Also I need to write 30 words I guess

Interview
Don’t apply. The only entry position is client service associate which is basically busy work nobody wants to do. They respond to your application quickly because HR is measured by success on how many interviews they do. So they literally interview knowing that they aren’t going to hire. That’s why they always have job openings listed on their website. So they can keep HR busy. The firm has no flexibility. 50 hours of busy work if you do take the job. The process consists of a phone screening then round robin with multiple teams claiming they have open positions but again they only hire CSA for new hires. Questions are all normal behavioral and really easy but hiring is really dependent on if enough people have quit recently that they need bodies.

Interview
The overall interview process was pretty lengthy. For starters, you aren’t applying for the “Investment Associate” role but rather multiple roles that the company thinks you’d fit in well with. First you meet with a recruiter, then you meet with multiple hiring managers, then a debrief with a recruiter about your experience, and then back to one of the hiring managers, and finally culminating with a Vice President or “higher-up.” All this being said, everyone was very polite and welcoming throughout the process. Interview questions were standard behavioral questions with a few random ones mixed in. Expect the whole process to take at least a month from start to finish.
