I applied through other source. I interviewed at First Regional Library
Interview
Didn't get an interview even when the hiring manager called. Left emails and calls and did not receive any sort of call or email. Had to go on a goose chase to even receive the call in the first place for an interview. Don't bother calling the branches because they won't be able to schedule the interview; only the hiring manager can schedule interviews for all branches. Waste of time.

Question 1
Had an interview offered, but was never scheduled. Hiring manager ghosted for a month.
I applied through other source. I interviewed at First Regional Library (Hernando, MS)
Interview
The interview process for the Public Relations/Marketing Coordinator role felt unnecessarily demanding and ultimately, disrespectful of my time. I received a last-minute interview request on a Friday for a Monday slot. This included an expectation to create a brand-new flyer from scratch and deliver a 3-minute elevator pitch for the library, all with minimal prep time.
The interview itself felt extremely formal and rehearsed on their end, almost like a performance, rather than a genuine two-way conversation. I was politely told I would hear back, but despite the significant effort I put into the requested projects, I never received any follow-up or rejection notification. It was disappointing to learn about their hired candidate via a public announcement, suggesting the process might have been a formality rather than a true consideration of all applicants. A simple rejection email would have been professional and courteous.
