I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Firestone Complete Auto Care (South San Francisco, CA)
Interview
Pretty formal interview. One on one Interview with the store manager and the service manager, one after and another on the same day. A about a week later, you will get the result. They will offer you lower than what the market pay.
Sat down with store manager, discussed background and what they were looking for in a tech. Chatted about favorite specialty in automotive technician field. Discussed pay rate and type, and availability.
I applied online. I interviewed at Firestone Complete Auto Care (Philadelphia, PA) in Oct 2018
Interview
It started with a phone call with a recruiter, very very nice guy. The actual interview was also a good experience with the district manager. Inital phone interview was rather long but it was a good thing. I found out a lot about the company and got a general idea about what I was getting myself into at least I thought I was.
The one on one was also ok. Mine was with a district manager who placed me in a different shop than I applied to and interviewed me at another location from either of those. We discussed rates, hours, many things. My real issue with the interview is that information I was given was blatantly false. I was told actual hours people were scheduled and this was actually increased once hired.
