The interview process was initially great - positive experience in learning about the company, meeting key stakeholders and having some influential conversations, then having to deliver a presentation, which was received very well.
After discussions on an imminent offer coming my way after many weeks of interviews I even took on my holidays away, the enablement team unfortunately went through a restructure. Unlucky timing, but was told I would hear back in the coming weeks once the role was rescoped. After seeing the new position hit the market, I obviously stated my interest and questioned why I hadn't heard back. I then followed up with the recruiter and hiring manager after having received no reply asking for feedback on my fit for the role so I can understand why and improve for future opportunities.
I was completely ghosted.
After such positive interactions, to be ignored to such an extent is unacceptable. I turned down multiple other job offers based on the feedback I had received from Figma as I was holding out for this opportunity. To not even take the time of day to send an email with feedback and rationale for the decision after all the time I had invested is beyond reproach.
I hope Figma reflects on the way it treats candidates in the future.
