      Interview

The interview process for FedEx courier was straightforward and efficient. I arrived 10 minutes early, and only one interviewer was present. The interview consisted of five questions: two were yes or no, while the other three were situational questions that assessed my problem-solving skills in real-life scenarios. The atmosphere was relaxed, making it easy to respond. Overall, it was a simple and quick experience, demonstrating FedEx's focus on efficiency.

      Part Time Courier (DOT) Interview

      Greensboro, NC
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at FedEx (Greensboro, NC) in Sep 2014

      Interview

Filled out application online. About a week or two later, a recruiter from Fedex HQ called me and asked me a series of yes/no questions. A week later, the local manager called me and scheduled me to come in a few days later to interview. Went to the interview, there was 2 manager's who took turns asking detailed questions in which you give very specific past experiences that relate to the questions (which in turn are required for the job of Courier). These questions included: One of your duties at Fedex is to pay close attention to detail. Name a time in which you had to pay close attention to detail, and what we're the results from that experience. After you explain IN DETAIL regarding the question to the manager, he will go over what you said to make sure everything makes sense. He will then ask "On a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate your ability to pay close attention to detail". There was a good 10-11 questions that required you to be detailed in your experience. BE SURE TO FULLY UNDERSTAND THE POSITION/COMPANY AND BE EXPLAINED TO ANSWER "Why do you think you are the best candidate to work at Fedex?" This is probably the most important question you can answer. About a week after this interview, I got a call from the manager saying that they would like to give me an offer, and scheduled me a few days later to come in to sign the offer letter. He then gave me a packet of stuff to bring to their clinic to do a Physical/Drug Test. I went the same day to hurry the process. During this time, they did a background check and reference check. About a week later after this, he got the OK TO HIRE, and called me and scheduled me to the start the next day/fill out paperwork. Entire process took about a month.

      DOT Courier Part Time Interview

      Aug 14, 2013
      Anonymous interview candidate

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at FedEx (Garland, TX) in Aug 2013

      Interview

Applied online, 4 weeks later interview was scheduled for Tuesday 9am. Received a call Monday afternoon stating I was given the wrong time and asked to reschedule for Wednesday 9am. Of course I agreed. Arrived at Garland TX Station 15 minutes early. I was escorted to the break room to wait. The interviewer showed up on time and takes me to a conference room where she was joined by another female interviewer. They explained the process and the series of situational questions began. The ENTIRE time both of these girls were sending and receiving text messages on their personal cell phones. I found this very uncomfortable, unprofessional, distracting and completely unacceptable. How could they possible have been 100% focused on me and my answers while preoccupied with the text messages? The younger of the 2 interviewers received a text and then left the room after shaking my hand and saying it was nice to meet me. Leaving the other lady there to finish. The following Tuesday the recruiter called me to see if I was interested in an interview at another station to which I had applied. I told her yes I was interested, but I had just interviewed in Garland last week. She put me on hold and came back to tell me that I was passed over. I asked her why and she said, "They will always go with the highest score." Highest score for what?? I never took a test and if those gals scored my answers in between their text messaging then that's pretty rotten. Overall the experience was disappointing considering I had previous package delivery experience with another company so training would have been minimal. Their loss.
