The process took 1 week. I interviewed at FedEx (Lenexa, KS) in Jan 2009
Interview
When they called me they set up a tour which was fine even though it was for unload, I got a pre-load job. Next was a hr interview, very easy and basic questions, they will hire anyone who wants to work at 2 AM. No drug test just background check and show up for the shift next week.
Mostly based off work history. They seem felon friendly. I do not have a criminal history. Personality test not difficult. They responded within 4 weeks. Haven't been there physically or meant face to face.
Super easy process—mostly online application with basic questions about availability, ability to lift 50-70 lbs, and fast-paced work. No tough interview; quick hire after background check. Positive and straightforward. Definitely worth it.
