Interview
One interview with community director and regional director. Be sure to ask questions about the company and their core values. Fully understand the tasks needed for a "lease up." It's a lot.

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at FPI Management (Colorado Springs, CO) in Mar 2022
Interview
I interviewed in-person in March (with whom had just been internally promoted in January), and we had a friendly exchange while talking about current stressors at the property and how my experiences would help navigate them. We talked about intentionally investing relational equity in the team, how to motivate them, additional metrics to aid maintenance and leasing in taking more accountability in their roles, etc. We of course went over all property-specific tax credit information, task organization, etc. It was a wonderful conversation my interviewer even said "I would be honored to have you on my team. I feel like I would learn a lot from you. I will be reviewing your resume in-person with corporate tomorrow." I was ecstatic to find someone who was on the same page as me in terms of ethics and professional growth. THEN I WAS GHOSTED. I waited a week and dropped off a hand-written thank you card to the leasing office (because no email address was provided) ... still NO RESPONSE. Because of how faith-forward and value-conscious FPI is, allegedly leading with their HEART model... I expected them to display enough integrity to follow up and at least show me the respect of directly rejecting my candidacy. Such poor form would indicate that they promoted from within prematurely.
